Tagalong Kennels - Our Dogs
Masca, Rarities, Namascusa and Int'l. Ch. Destiny's Katch22 of Tagalong is our new boy. Whelped July 9, 2006, "Rap" was bred by Kathy Munson of Destiny minis and is co-owned with Katherine Szafran of Katch22 aussies. His sire is Ch. Heatherlys Talk of the Town (Rumor) and dam is Katch22 Almost Famous (Princess). We got Rap at 11 months old, and he fit in perfectly. He is a funny, perky, bouncy young man that loves everyone. We have tried basic obedience which he excelled at and loved working for me. We also tried one herding lesson so far when it was too hot for either of us, but he seemed to enjoy it. He finished his Championships in 2 show weekends from the puppy class. Rap is willing to try anything, but is happiest "helping" around here. Any pair of socks left unattended is fair game to collect and pack around. He is a delightful boy with a heart of gold. Rap is CERF clear in 2008, and hips are OFA prelimmed Good. For now he's just growing up and gathering socks, but down the line I plan to try Rally with Rap and get his CGC title.
News Flash: On April 19 and 20, 2008, Rap competed at the Albany, Oregon IABCA shows. He won Best of Winners at 3 of the 4 shows, and went on to a Best of Breed and Group First win! This completed his Namascusa and International Chs!

Alpine's True Blue Tagalong, "Kelsey" is our only intact girl at Tagalong Kennels. Bred and co-owned by Wendy Broderick of Alpine minis in Bend, Oregon, Kelsey is a lovely, typey half standard. Her sire, Ch. Spring Fever's Flash Point Colt .45, "Sam", is owned by Jeanie Petty of Blueskies aussies in Florida. Kelsey's pedigree contains many well known, all-around dogs with titles in conformation, obedience, herding, as well as Hall of Fame Dogs and producers. She has a lovely expression, great topline, moves clean coming and going, covers the ground very nicely, and is a real sweetie! Whelped October 30, 2002, Kelsey is CERF clear and OFA good. Kelsey has produced beautifully so far, with her first litter being sired by Ironhorse Phantom of the Opera. She has a daughter, Tagalong's Amazing Gracie,CGC from that cross that is a herding whiz co-owned with my good friend Jamie Johnson of Makana minis. Kelsey's second litter was produced when she was leased by Mona Cooper of Ridgestar kennels. Sired by multi Ch.Wigglebutt James Bond, that cross has produced 3 girls all being shown successfully. Her daughter Ridgestar N Wigglebutt Miss Moneypenny "M" finished her Chs. at under a year old and won reserve winners at the MASCA nationals as well as winners bitch and best of winners at the nationals pre-show at just 12 months! Ridgestar N Wigglebutt Shelby "Shelby" won 3rd in open black bitch. Kelsey's breeder, Wendy, has IABCA Ch. Wigglebutt Ridgestar Pearl of Alpine, "Pearl" from this same cross. She has earned major points and is close to finishing, as well as doing great in agility! Kelsey earned her IABCA Ch. in May of 2004 and has Namascusa major pts. Kelsey is a once-in-a-lifetime girl who combines good looks, an amazing brain, plenty of drive and aussie type with a bomb-proof temperament. I thank Wendy so much for entrusting her prize baby with me.

Lovelines Tagalong Sunny is my wonderful half standard in a plain brown wrapper! Her sire, Frank, is a small standard red merle. Whelped April 2000, Sunny is the most athletic, physically capable dog of any breed I have ever known. She gets absolutely anywhere she wants to be either by scaling over, crawling under or working her way through any obstacle. She also did great in basic obedience and did a few months of agility. The A-frame and dog-walk were her favorites. In her mature years, she has discovered that counter-surfing yields some worthwhile goodies. Sunny is 17" tall, is OFA good and has a current eye clearance. Sunny is the pasture cruiser- always on the lookout for anything of interest or out of order. She thinks she is the boss-dog but her bark is worse than her bite. Generally, she just has to look at one of the other dogs to get her way! Sunny earned her IABCA International Ch. in February 2002 winning Best of Breed at all 3 shows in competition. Sunny has been spayed and is now the official babysitter here. She even "helped" nurse Kelsey's first litter and is happiest when there is a 2 or 4 legged baby to mother.
